Adaptive Polar Coding Scheme Using Hybrid Pilot and Frozen Bits for Satellite Laser Communications

چکیده

Polar codes can achieve arbitrary coding rates by varying the number of frozen bits. However, large propagation delay in satellite laser communications complicates adaptive setting optimal polar rate using bidirectional control signaling. In addition, channel estimation fading channels requires pilot symbols, resulting a reduction efficiency. To address these simultaneously, we propose novel one-way polar-code transmission scheme that performs both and code estimations only Numerical results demonstrate proposed produces higher throughput than existing single-rate schemes.
